Need To Re-Charge And Relax?
Gwinganna is by far one of the most tranquil, relaxing, peaceful places that I have ever visited in my life. Nestled high up in Tallebudgera Valley, it’s less than half an hour from Coolangatta Airport although feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.
I would go so far as to say that visiting there can be a life changing experience. Not just another spa retreat, Gwinganna focuses on health and well being for the mind, body and soul and via the friendly, nurturing and caring staff, the stunning, breathtaking location and the well thought out programs that are tailor made to ensure you get the most out of your stay, you can be sure that you will leave there in a healthier body, with a rejuvenated soul and a calm mind. That is, if you can ever bring yourself to leave there, as it is heaven on earth.
For more information check out the Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat website. If you are already booked in and want any tips on what you should do while you’re there, feel free to leave me a comment below and I’ll get back to you.

Hi Megan,
My husband and I are booked in to Gwinganna at the end of May for 5 night Optimum Wellbeing. We can’t wait. We are really in need of a boost and pick-me-up to get ourselves going again.
What would be your ‘hot tips’ on what to do during our time at Gwinganna?
Thanks in advance,
Kylee Best

Hi Kylee,
Lucky you! Ok I would suggest the following -
Even though it’ll be tough, DO wake up in the morning when they knock on the door and attend Qi Goong and go for a bush walk. It’s the best way to start your day!
The following treatments are fantastic — Rockupuncture, Chi Nei Tsang, Myotherapy if you like a deep tissue massage and Heaven Scent. The steam room downstairs in the spa is magical, you’ll know why once you go inside. The yoga classes are great and if they do meditation of an evening in the church just before or after dinner, do it as it will just be so peaceful and relaxing. Johnny Palmer is a hoot and a very special man so if he does any walks or talks, attend them! If you need to talk through any issues there are THE most caring people there that know how to give advice and listen so take advantage of that if you need it. And lastly, you may feel like a weirdo at first but I cannot stress enough, the importance of doing the tribal dancing which is usually on a Thursday. If you do nothing else all week, make sure you do this and make sure your man does it too no matter what. You’ll know what I’m talking about once you do it. Apart from that, make sure you enjoy every second and make the most of being there. It’s a very special place.
Have fun,
Love Megan x
